Hi

Signs of Spring with Snowdrops in full bloom here on Anglesey.

We are preparing our studio and workshop for the annual Open Studios event organised by the Anglesey Arts forum.

This takes place over the Easter period and involves many artists who live and work on the island opeing their studios to the general public.

I shall be open on selected days this year, please check the book to find out more.

In the meantime I hope that you will find time to come and visit the only Lapidary and silverworkshop on the island.

Welsh slate jewellery hand made in Wales.

Using the finest slate from the famous Welsh quarry in Bethesda, North Wales,

my new collection of silver and stone jewellery features some lovely slate pieces soon to be available online in my website store.

Silver and slate make a minimalist modern statement in, and shows appreciation of our Heritage.

All the slate used is selected recycled slate from the old quarry.

We've been busy working on our new workshops, sod's law its taking a bit longer than anticipated, but Mark has been making and sending more Dwynwen bracelets to the Welsh castles in Harlech and Beaumaris.

Hand made Welsh slate jewellery set in sterling silver mounts is being made and will soon be available.

A collection of rings, earrings, and pendants in cool blue Welsh slate.

Welsh slate is a Heritage stone and the deposits in North Wales are the best in the World.

Mark uses the famous Penrhyn Blue slate in his collection of Welsh Slate jewellery.

Some of this blue slate has interesting green marbelling effects, which can be seen in the rings below.

Welsh slate is a fine grained metamorphic rock.

Deposits are approximately 500 million years old and are from the Cambrian era.

This slate is found in the beautiful Snowdonia Mountains - and is the finest in the World.
